Final processing involves the removal of stems and powder from aracha, or unprocessed tea, which is the raw material, sorting for size and drying with the application of heat.
The company owns two finishing lines, with a daily production capacities of 2,000 kg and 1,500 kg. The company is also capable of taking on small-lot processing of 30 kg or more, which is done with manual labor.
There are seven different kinds of drying machines in the factory. With fine adjustments to the heating power to avail of the features specific to each individual machine, we can achieve optimal heating for different products.
Furthermore, various kinds of sorting machines, including a color sorting machine, are used by expert tea masters to remove stems and powder to obtain only fine tea leaves.
In addition to deep-steamed tea produced in the city of Kakegawa, we offer a wide assortment of other teas, ranging from high-end teas to bancha, or coarse tea , as well as teas with varying degrees of steaming and heating. We select one from among them to best suit your taste for your enjoyment.
We constantly strive to keep our workplace clean and sanitary, and are equipped with high-capacity automatic packing machines to accommodate varied customer requirements, such as bag- and tin-packaging. Moreover, we can package customers' own-labeled products in addition to our own products speedily and at low cost. We promptly and carefully process all orders whether they are for mass retailers, religious ceremonies, or celebrations, regardless of the size of the order.
Hojicha is made by roasting tea leaves that have been heat- treated in a roaster.
Hojicha tastes best right after it is roasted. Its flavor dissipates with the passage of time. We ship flavorful freshly-roasted Hojicha only after we receive an order, roasting the tea specifically for the orders.
The degree of roasting is also important. We take care to select the ingredients to meet our customer’s request while our expert tea masters fine-tune the roasting time and heat.
Tea is stored in the form of unprocessed tea throughout the year at temperatures ranging between 5℃ and -20℃, depending on the product, in order to best preserve their freshness. They are given a finishing process suitable for different seasons before being shipped. Needless to say, finished tea products are also stored in a cold storage warehouse, enabling us to offer products without any loss of freshness throughout the year.
